Patrick GOERGEN, Avocat à la Cour,

Luxembourg citizen, born in 1963, was a civil servant in Luxembourg Public Administration from 1983 to 1995, and is since April 1995 a lawyer established at Luxembourg Bar. He opened in July 1998 his own law office in Luxembourg.

In 1994, he got his French maîtrise en droit at Robert Schuman University in Strasbourg, in 1995 his Luxembourg law certificate at "Centre Universitaire de Luxembourg", and in 2000 the DESS ("Diplôme d'Etudes Supérieures Spécialisées") in European Community litigation at "Institut Universitaire International de Luxembourg" and Robert Schuman University Strasbourg. 

He is a mediator in criminal law (nominated by Luxembourg Minister of Justice on October 5, 1999, in the framework of the Luxembourg bill dated May 6, 1999) and is the Luxembourg Correspondent to JURIST World Law (since May 2000).

He serves as an Adjunct Professor at Sacred Heart University Luxembourg (since January 2001).

Patrick Goergen was President and founding member of Association des Juristes Spécialisés en Contentieux Communautaire (asbl), a Luxembourg based non-profit organization of specialized lawyers in European Union litigation (from December 1999 to December 2001).

He speaks and works in four languages (English, French, German and Luxembourgish).

Martina WEHRHEIM, Avocat à la Cour

a German citizen born in 1966, has studied law at the universities of Münster, Marburg (Germany) and Paris XI (France). She passed her State examinations in 1992 and 1995. She was admitted to the Luxembourg bar Association in June 2000 and joined the law firm in September 2003.

 

Florence MARIMPIETRI, Avocat à la Cour

a French citizen, born in 1978, Florence registered with the Luxembourg Bar Association in November 2006. She holds a DEA Droit des contentieux with the University of Metz (France) since 2002. She was a legal assistant with the court of first instance in Thionville (France) from 2004 to 2006. After a first experience with a Luxembourg law firm, she joined Etude Patrick Goergen in November 2006. She is charge of litigation and regularly pleads cases with Luxembourg courts.

Laurent SUIN, Avocat

Born in 1984 and of French citizenship, Laurent was admitted to Luxembourg Bar Association in June 2008. He holds a maîtrise en droit financier (University of Luxembourg) and a Master 1 en droit privé (Université Robert Schuman of Strasbourg, France) since 2006, as well as a maîtrise en droit européen at Stockholm University (Sweden) since 2007. He worked with the Corporate and M&A department at a major law firm in Luxembourg, before joining Etude Patrick Goergen in May 2009. He deals with cases in company law and European Union law. Laurent speaks fluently French and English.

Claudine RENAUD, Tax Adviser

French citizen, Claudine has studied law at the university of Metz (France). She obtained her "maîtrise de droit privé" in 1983. She was Tax Manager at KPMG Luxembourg – Tax consulting - (anc. Peat Marwick) from April 1987 until August 1998 and dealt with tax files of private clients.

Since 1st September 1998, Claudine RENAUD is an independant tax consultant. Claudine Renaud, who has joined the law firm of Patrick Goergen as an independant tax consultant on 1st October 2003, speaks French and English.

Jeff KETTENMEYER, Legal Assistant & Business Development

Jeff, a Luxembourg citizen born in 1987, holds a Diplôme de fin d'études secondaires techniques (Lycée Technique Nic Biever, Dudelange, 2008). He joined Etude Patrick Goergen in November 2009 as Legal Assistant and is also in charge of Business Development. He fluently speaks English, French, German as well as Luxembourgish.
